Check Out the Bloody Awesome Trailer for ‘Upgrade’

Everyone’s favorite genre brand is bringing a new sci-fi pieces of action filled basass-ery to the world. Blumhouse released the trailer for ‘Upgrade‘ yesterday and it’s the newest film from Saw and Insidious creator Leigh Whannell. The trailer gives a great look at the world of ‘Upgrade’, a Logan Marshall Green who’s primed and ready to break out of his “Not Tom Hardy” shell and what looks to be an incredible and inventive action sequence. You can check out the Greenband trailer by clicking on the featured image above. Or, if you’d like to see more hyper violent and NSFW version of the events, check out the Red Band trailer below:

The official synopsis from Blumhouse Tilt is that After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, Grey Trace (Logan Marshall Green, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, PROMETHEUS) is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will “upgrade” his body. The cure – an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM – gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead.

‘Upgrade’ will be released on June 1, 2018 and it can’t come soon enough if you ask me. The premise appears to be unique and the action looks brutal in best kind of way. It’s also worth pointing out that we have really come a long way with low budget sci-fi and fantasy. The fact that these kind of movies can be made on a Blumhouse budget now has really opened a door for audiences to be able to see a lot more interesting genre filmmaking.
