It’s that time of year again. As December trudges along, a number of “prestige” roll into theaters and the inevitable spat of “best of” lists start covering every conceivable corner of the internet. Which can mean only one thing: we’re deep in the heart of award show season. Today the Hollywood Foreign Press Association took their moment in the spotlight, unveiling next year’s list of nominees.

While overall, the individuals included aren’t exactly a surprise, there are a number of snubs that are sure to irk some readers. Sam Elliott’s name is absent from Best Supporting Actor. Regina Hall is sadly not included for her brilliant turn in Support The Girls. Steve McQueen’s masterful Widows was completely left out. Several TV shows that had talent nominated, didn’t receive recognition for their programs as a whole. Yet there’s still plenty to get excited about. Black Panther got a Best Picture nod, bolstering it’s chances for the Oscars. For those keeping tally, Vice leads all films with 6 nominations, while The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story garnered 4 in the TV department.

Take a peek below, at the full list of nominees:
