I have been a fan of Zach Galifianakis for a very long time. Since his early stand-up days. While I thought he was one of the funniest comedies in the biz with his one liners and awkward approach to comedic timing I never dreamed he would become a huge star like his is today. Mainly because I never thought he could transition to mainstream. Even with his star status he has been able to infuse a lot of his overall act in most of the characters he portrays.
10.) The Hot Tub is To Hot
All Zach wanted was a nice relaxing dip in the hot tub with his buddies Tim and Eric. What he got was more than he bargained for.
“Tim keeps it a little to hot for my blood.” – Eric
“It’s a bit hot…” Zach
“Then I say we toast to cooling off.” Tim
(laughter) – Tim & Eric
“IT’S NOT FUNNY! DON’T TALK! THE HOT TUB IS TO HOT! I FLEW DOWN HERE, FOR. THE. SEVENTH, TIME! THE HOT TUB IS TO HOT. I TOLD YOU ABOUT THIS BEFORE! IT’S JUST TO HOT!” – Zach
“It’s the incense, it’s the ferns, it’s the chair. We put all this wicker on it just for you.” Tim & Eric
“I’m sorry guys, both my parents died a couple hours ago.” – Zach
9.) The Visioneers
This dark comedy featured Judy Greer as Zach’s wife as we see him work his way through a mid-life crisis. When people begin exploding from stress at work, Zach’s character George Washington Winsterhammerman tries to ignore the epidemic and live his usual life, but then he suffers his first symptom. Yup, his name is George Washington. He works at an office where the morning salute to one another includes “Jeffer’s morning” followed by giving your co-worker the finger. It’s a journey into paranoia and madness.
